The legend of Lorenzo Accomasso is almost mythical, quietly creating masterpieces for decades before he was discovered. His incredibly Barolo so rare that people make the treck to his vineyard in Piemonte to seek out a bottle or two. Because, as sought after as his wine is, he aparently hasn’t exported to the US since the 1980s, and he prefers to sell his wine a few bottles at a time from his cellar door.
