Domaine Koji et Jae Hwa Marsannay En Leautier 2023 750ml
Domaine Koji et Jae Hwa is the estate label of Koji Nakada and Jae Hwa Park, the couple behind Maison Lou Dumont in Gevrey-Chambertin. From a handful of old-vine parcels in the Côte de Nuits they make small quantities of transparent, site-driven Burgundy: whole-cluster where the vintage allows, native yeasts, gentle extraction and light-handed élevage, bottled with minimal sulphur. Production is tiny and most cuvées are allocated.
Marsannay “En Leautier” 2023 is a single lieu-dit at the northern gateway of the Côte de Nuits. The 2023 shows the sunny, generous character of the year with Marsannay’s typical lift: red cherry, violet and a little spice over fine, chalk-edged tannins and a saline finish. Approachable now and built to develop over 8–10 years. Serve at 14–16 °C with roast chicken, duck or soy-braised pork.
