Domaine Mont Kern AK 2021

Domaine Mont is the Yoichi winery of Atsuo Yamanaka, who trained for two years at Domaine Takahiko before founding the domaine in 2016 in the Nobori district of Yoichi, Hokkaido. The estate vineyard is planted only with Pinot Gris; the other cuvées are made from grapes grown by neighbouring Yoichi growers, such as the Hasegawa and Aki vineyards ("AK" on the label stands for the Aki vineyard).

Mont Kern AK is Kerner from the Aki vineyard, macerated as whole clusters on the skins for about two weeks, giving an amber tint, a light sparkle and a touch of residual sweetness; no added sulphites.
