Domaine Yui, founded in 2019 by Tetsuya and Aya Sugiyama, is an artisanal winery in Yoichi, Hokkaido, committed to crafting expressive, terroir-driven wines with sustainable and minimal interventions. Their name “Yui” means “to connect,” reflecting their mission of building community and connection through wine.

The T1 2023 is part of their petillant “T-series,” made entirely from Delaware grapes, a native varietal used historically in labrusca wines. This bottling features delicate, fine bubbles and a dry finish, with a crisp freshness that reflects Hokkaido’s cool climate. Aromas of apple, white grape, soft yeast, honey, and subtle herb nuances appear, while the palate offers bright acidity with a refined fruit character. The finish is clean, dry, and elegant.
