Domaine des Miroirs Ja Nai! 2014 750ml

Domaine des Miroirs is the estate of Kenjiro and Mayumi Kagami in Grusse, in the southern Jura. Kenjiro trained in Burgundy, the Northern Rhône and Alsace before settling here in 2011 on a steep hillside vineyard below the forest, abandoned in the 1950s and never treated with chemicals since. From a few hectares of Chardonnay, Savagnin, Poulsard and Trousseau, certified organic, the Kagamis make wines with almost no extraction, raised unfiltered in wooden barrels without added sulphur. Production is tiny, and the bottles are among the most sought-after in natural wine.

Ja Nai! 2014 is the domaine’s Poulsard, a lively Jura red of red fruit and herbs, light in colour and texture. With more than a decade in bottle, it is a rare chance to taste Miroirs with age. Serve lightly cool, around 14–16 °C.
