Giuseppe Rinaldi Barolo Brunate 2021 750ml

Giuseppe Rinaldi is one of the last great traditionalist houses of Barolo — a small cellar in the village itself, famous for long macerations, large old botti and wines of uncompromising character. Once led by the outspoken and much-loved Beppe Rinaldi, the estate is today in the hands of his daughters Marta and Carlotta, who continue the family's fiercely classical style. Allocations are tiny and demand worldwide far exceeds supply.

Brunate is the jewel of the house — one of Barolo's greatest crus, straddling La Morra and Barolo, and the vineyard most closely identified with the Rinaldi name. Expect the classic Brunate signature: dark rose and violet perfume, tar and balsamic depth, and a long, structured Nebbiolo palate. The classically styled 2021 vintage is a keeper — magnificent now with air, and built to age for decades.
