Kei Shiogai is a prominent figure in the Burgundy wine region, originally hailing from Japan. He has made a significant impact in the industry through his work as a micro-négociant, a term used for winemakers who typically do not own land to cultivate their own vineyards but instead purchase grapes or sometimes wine from other growers to produce their own wines. This approach is common among those who may not have the resources to buy land in prestigious regions like Burgundy, allowing them to still produce wine albeit in smaller quantities.

Shiogai's journey into winemaking began after he developed a passion for wine while working in various industry jobs across Japan and New Zealand. His quest for deeper knowledge and expertise in viticulture and vinification led him to Burgundy, where he was welcomed by a family in Dijon back in 2014. Kei Shiogai's dedication and tireless pursuit in the field have allowed him to learn and work with renowned Domaines such as Pacalet, Rousseau, and Roulot, eventually leading him to establish his own winery.

His contributions and creations have quickly gained recognition, earning him a reputation as a talented and innovative winemaker within the Burgundy region. Shiogai's approach to winemaking, blending traditional Burgundian techniques with his unique insights and perspectives, has resonated well within the wine community, making his wines highly sought after by enthusiasts and collectors alike
