Domaine Takahiko Yoichi Nobori Nakai Blanc 2018 750ml
Domaine Takahiko Yoichi Nobori Nakai Blanc 2018
Domaine Takahiko is the Yoichi estate of Takahiko Soga, second son of the family behind Obuse Winery in Nagano. After studying fermentation science at Tokyo University of Agriculture he joined Bruce Gutlove at Coco Farm & Winery in 1998, came to Yoichi in 2002 as Coco Farm's vineyard manager, and founded his own domaine in the Nobori district in 2010. The Nana-Tsu-Mori vineyard, about 4.6 hectares of Pinot Noir, is farmed organically; the cellar is a small converted barn, and grapes are fermented as whole clusters with wild yeast, with sulphites used only when needed.
Wines from vineyards the domaine does not own are released under the name Takahiko Soga. Nakai Blanc is the white of this Yoichi Nobori line, made from Kerner grown by the Nakai family farm in Nobori, Yoichi.
