Domaine Koji et Jae Hwa Gevrey-Chambertin Aux Corvées 2023 750ml

Domaine Koji et Jae Hwa is the estate label of Koji Nakada and Jae Hwa Park, the couple behind Maison Lou Dumont in Gevrey-Chambertin. From a handful of old-vine parcels in the Côte de Nuits they make small quantities of transparent, site-driven Burgundy: whole-cluster where the vintage allows, native yeasts, gentle extraction and light-handed élevage, bottled with minimal sulphur. Production is tiny and most cuvées are allocated.

Gevrey-Chambertin “Aux Corvées” 2023 is a village lieu-dit on the Brochon side of Gevrey, farmed by the domaine itself. A ripe, sunny 2023 with real Gevrey structure: dark cherry, blackberry, iron and forest floor, powdery tannins and a long, savoury finish. Delicious now with an hour in the decanter and will reward a decade in the cellar. Serve at 15–16 °C with chargrilled lamb, game or mushroom dishes.
