Domaine Mie Ikeno Merlot 2022
Domaine Mie Ikeno is the estate of Mie Ikeno on the hills south of Kobuchizawa, at the foot of Mt Yatsugatake in Hokuto, Yamanashi, at about 750 metres. She planted the first vines in spring 2007 on abandoned farmland she had cleared, and the winery was completed in autumn 2011. All wines are made from estate fruit (Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Merlot) in a gravity-flow cellar, which the winery describes as the first of its kind in Japan.
