Domaine Mont Hase-Don 2024

Domaine Mont is the Yoichi winery of Atsuo Yamanaka, who trained for two years at Domaine Takahiko before founding the domaine in 2016 in the Nobori district of Yoichi, Hokkaido. The estate vineyard is planted only with Pinot Gris; the other cuvées are made from grapes grown by neighbouring Yoichi growers, such as the Hasegawa and Aki vineyards ("AK" on the label stands for the Aki vineyard).

Hase-Don is a lightly sparkling Riesling from the Hasegawa vineyard. Both the first fermentation and the second fermentation in bottle are with wild yeast, with no added sulphites; sealed with a crown cap.
