Kondo Vineyard Tap-Kop Pinot Noir 2020

Kondo Vineyard is the estate of Ryosuke Kondo in Sorachi, Hokkaido. He began clearing his first site, Tap-Kop in the Tappu area of Mikasa, in 2007 and planted it in 2008; in 2011 he began planting a second vineyard, Moseushi, in Kurisawa, Iwamizawa. Each covers about 2 hectares. Since 2017 the wines have been made at Kurisawa Wines, the cellar he co-founded; before that they were made at 10R Winery.

This single-vineyard Pinot Noir comes from the Tap-Kop farm (100–120 m, east-south-east facing), where part of the vineyard is tended by Ryosuke's brother Takumi Kondo. The 2020 was harvested from 8 to 24 October 2020 and bottled on 23 July 2021 with only 10 ppm of added sulphite; 1,882 bottles were made.
