Beau Paysage Tsugane Pinot Noir 2013
Beau Paysage is the domaine of Eishi Okamoto in Tsugane, Hokuto, Yamanashi, at about 800 metres. Okamoto settled here in 1999 and planted Merlot first; the vines are farmed without ploughing, herbicides or fertilisers. Production is tiny, and every label carries the line "A glass of wine can change the world."
Tsugane Pinot Noir is the domaine's 100% Pinot Noir. The 2013 is a mature library bottle, more than a decade old.
